  1. You told it like it is. “Educating” to tests is not the same thing as educating children. Frankly,President Obama putting someone with no classroom experience whatsoever as head of the U.S. DOE is absolute proof by action that in spite of his words he cares very little about the public schools and the clients that they serve.” Standards” and tests that purport to do much more than they are capable of doing are a very big detriment to real education. Arne Duncan’s arrogance and disrespect to many parents and real educators who could teach him a lot is proof of Arne’s insecurity and lack of confidence in his own ability to listen to opposing and more informed points of view or debate it with others. The sad part is that Chicago public schools had to endure the same thing during his tenure. Don’t mistake career politicians for “educators” ,they have no way of knowing what education actually is.
